Relentlessly challenging the status quo, his innovative approach improves efficiency and delivers greater insights to clients in less time. "Automation and AI are not just about technology; they’re fundamentally transforming how we approach auditing to deliver deeper insights faster and more reliably." Pioneering AI and Automation in AuditingFaster processing times mean that clients receive timely insights, enabling them to make informed decisions more quickly, while increased accuracy of audits reduces the risk of errors and enhances compliance.Recognizing the power of emerging technologies to transform traditional audit practices, Jeremy has led initiatives ranging from early Robotic Process Automation (RPA) pilots, to building an enterprise automation platform and -- most recently -- advancing audit procedures through the strategic use of AI. These efforts led to the establishment of the Internal Audit Tech Enablement segment, which has grown significantly under his leadership."Automation and AI are not just about technology; they’re fundamentally transforming how we approach auditing to deliver deeper insights faster and more reliably," says Jeremy. And that’s what the Internal Audit Tech Enablement segment does. To date they have:Built a scalable internal automation platform that standardizes bots, workflows, and audit analytics across clients and industries.Created and curated a prompt library tailored for audit and compliance.Embedded data analytics within the audit lifecycle leading to continuous auditing, dynamic risk assessments, and full population testing.Fully automated user access reviews and segregation of duties validations, saving thousands of hours.Developing the Technology Accelerator Platform (TAP)One of Jeremy’s significant contributions is the architecting of the Technology Accelerator Platform (TAP), which brings market-leading packaged automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to control testing. The innovative TAP platform leverages AI, analytics, and automation to expedite audit processes, reducing manual effort and increasing accuracy. It enables auditors to perform complex analyses and generate comprehensive reports in a fraction of the time it previously took. For example, instead of spending a day writing the first draft of an audit report, TAP can draft one in minutes. The platform’s capabilities have set new benchmarks in audit efficiency, allowing Protiviti to deliver unparalleled value to our clients. In fact, one of several dozen TAP accelerators was recently patented, a custom algorithm for fuzzy matching various names to identify terminated employees who may retain access to systems. This algorithm compares names, addresses, and other data points quickly and accurately.Supporting the Adoption of Generative AI ToolsIn addition to his work developing technology accelerators and serving clients, Jeremy played a crucial role in proposing, creating and enhancing Protiviti GPT, an internal generative AI solution designed to enhance Protiviti's day-to-day operations and project work.Jeremy’s efforts represent Protiviti’s commitment to delivering for our clients. By transforming how audits are conducted, Jeremy enhances efficiency while delivering deeper insights that empower clients to thrive in a rapidly evolving business landscape.Learn more about Audit Innovation at Protiviti.
