Yasumi Taniguchi

Yasumi Taniguchi is Managing Director of Protiviti Japan and leads Japan practices. As a founding member of Protiviti Japan, she led the delivery of the country’s Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit and Financial Advisory solutions. Yasumi spent over 15 years with Arthur Andersen serving in both the US and Japan, before joining Protiviti, and performed audit work and due diligence work for many international clients.

At Protiviti, Yasumi has led several Sarbanes-Oxley engagements at Japanese US SEC registered companies, coordinated global US and J-SOX engagements for many leading Japanese international companies, and provided various services to risk management and internal audit departments of Japanese global companies. Her experience includes risk assessment workshops, Risk Control Self Assessment programs, co-sourcing/outsourcing internal audit service, Internal Audit Quality Assurance Review (QAR). Consulting magazine named Yasumi to its 2015 Women Leaders in Consulting list. Appointed as Japan’s country market leader in 2017, Yasumi steered major culture and infrastructure transformation, and an emphasis on service diversification.
