Michael Schultz

Michael Schultz is a Managing Director and Global Leader of Protiviti’s Technology Consulting Capability with over 35 years of corporate and professional services experience. Michael is an experienced technology consulting leader who has held a variety of geographic and global technology solution leadership roles throughout his career. He serves clients across multiple industries, though primarily in Financial Services and Energy, delivering a broad range of consulting and managed services with expertise in IT strategy & governance, IT operations transformation & support, cloud, enterprise architecture, compliance, internal audit and risk management. Prior to his current role, he served as the Central Region Leader for Protiviti. Before joining Protiviti, Michael was a partner with Arthur Andersen leading their Technology Risk Consulting practice in Houston for 6 years. He began his career with Dow Chemical where he spent 8 years including positions in project control, IT operations, IT project management, and systems design / software development.

• Directed multiple consulting and managed services engagements involving IT operations and support, strategy, processes, technology infrastructure, service management, regulatory compliance, end user computing and software implementations.
• Provided CIO advisory executive leadership, IT organizational transformation and strategy, design and implementation of large-scale solutions, including IT architectures and processes, IT risk assessment and remediation, technology infrastructure and operations, software requirements definition, software configuration and implementation, governance / policy / regulatory compliance, and user training and deployment.
• Significant experience leading strategic initiatives for executive management teams including digital transformation, cloud selection / migration, data center consolidation, infrastructure transformation, IT Service Management / ITIL functional transformation and implementation, and process / technical architecture design.
