Managing Director

Jordan Reed is a Managing Director and Leader of Protiviti’s Central Region specializing in the execution of Internal Audit and Financial Advisory solutions. Jordan has over 30 years of experience assisting clients with internal audit planning and execution and has been involved with all phases of internal control over financial reporting initiatives. Jordan is a frequent speaker on topics including Internal Audit, Sarbanes-Oxley, emerging technology, data analytics, spreadsheet risk, the future auditor, and the Internet of Things. Prior to his current role, Jordan was responsible for Protiviti’s Houston Market, he started his career at Arthur Andersen and transitioned to Protiviti at inception in 2002.

Major Projects

Serve as the audit executive for a Fortune 100 airline where Protiviti represents the internal audit function. Responsibilities include annual risk assessment, preparation of annual audit plan, execution of assurance and consultative reviews, coordination of global teams, execution of special projects and investigations, and quarterly reporting to the audit committee.
Directed the scoping, prioritization, documentation, and testing for several organizations subject to Internal Control requirements driven by Sarbanes-Oxley, J-SOX, and the NAIC Model Audit Rule.
Directed IT audits focused on IT Governance, application controls and segregation of duties, application pre- and post-implementation, security and privacy, change management, service management, business continuity and disaster recovery, asset management, and spreadsheet risk for several organizations.
