Jay Thompson

Managing Director

Jay Thompson is a founding Protiviti Managing Director who has filled various leadership roles since its inception. Jay has over 25 years consulting and industry experience in the energy, manufacturing, consumer products, financial services and retail industries.

Jay’s current role at Protiviti has him directing Managed Business Services for the firm. These services include engagements to improve or establish critical business functions while taking operational responsibilities. Jay also leads Protiviti’s Innovation Program as well as leadership roles in Enterprise Performance Management services and on its energy and manufacturing industry teams.

  • Implemented an AR collections unit while working through a backlog of transactions resulting from a post-merger integration
  • Preparing the accounting records for a large merger for an international industrial products company
  • Re-engineered an IT department of a manufacturing company based on a new business system platform
