Torin leads Protiviti’s Security & Privacy practice in the Pacific Northwest. He has over 15 years of consulting experience with Protiviti, and previously worked in a variety of IT industry roles including system administration, development, and IT management.

Major Projects

Acted as a Virtual CISO for a technology client, helping to build the Information Security Program, achieve compliance with ISO 27001 and FedRAMP, and support the organisation through the IPO process.
Helped numerous organisations achieve ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications for the first time. This includes performing gap analyses, developing roadmaps, building out the Information Security Management System (ISMS), implementing controls, remediating gaps, implementing tools, conducting pre-certification audits, and supporting clients through their external certification audits.
Led numerous large engagements to assist clients with security transformations, reorganisations, acquisitions, post-breach remediation efforts, and system implementations.
Implemented and operated multiple outsourced Managed Services for a leading technology company across a variety of subject matter domains, including multiple engagements that have operated continuously for almost 10 years.
Acted as the Director of IT Audit for multiple organisations in fully outsourced and staff augmentation roles. This includes reporting to numerous client Boards and Audit Committees, as well as overseeing individual audits and running the ongoing activities of the internal audit function.
