Matt Richards

Matt is a Managing Director in Protiviti’s technology consulting business platform transformation practice with experience in financials and supply chain technology, benefits, talent management, time and labour and expense management solutions. Prior to joining Protiviti, Matt served in PwC’s cloud and digital consulting practice focused on leading large, tech-enabled transformation programs. He has deep experience in financials and supply chain technology, benefits, talent management, labour and expense management solutions. Matt began his career at Northrop Grumman Corporation, the fourth largest global security defence contractor, serving government and commercial customers worldwide. Matt’s experience combines a deep process and technology background to help clients address a broad range of technology and business challenges.

Major Projects

• Directed program to transform financial and supply chain operations through consolidation, standardisation and adoption of industry-leading human resources practices. Identified areas for operational improvement.
• Executed an Oracle Cloud implementation program as a mechanism to drive $10M in annual savings through process standardisation, organisational realignment and cloud-based systems transformation.
• Led the IT segment for a divestiture as a Global Fortune 500 company. Analysed business priorities and planned phased integration of applications, development environments, data interfaces, technical infrastructure and IT operations.
• Led an analysis effort to identify synergies between various internal technology operations groups. Applied functional analysis, unit cost comparisons and technology standardisation techniques to identify savings opportunities.
• Developed and implemented IT strategies for applications consolidation, data centre consolidation, virtual desktop, desktop support optimisation and infrastructure outsourcing.
• Developed plans to improve the technical architecture of a large-scale multi-national company. Assessed application architecture, ERP integration, security, network environment and core web services to develop recommendations.
• Architected an integrated, large-scale IT Transformation program for a global industrial manufacturing client. Program efforts focused on process standardisation, automation, sourcing optimisation and asset rationalisation.
• Named the youngest Executive in CSC history and managed over $1B of revenue with active clients with an annual growth target above $200M.
