Major projects and accomplishments

  • Product value chains: Led a product value chains risk and controls mapping and uplift project for a major Australian bank. L1 to L4 or 5 processes were mapped and optimised via multiple stakeholder workshops and review sessions. Risk profile including risk heat map, reporting and findings presented to senior business leaders for business decision-making.
  • Product governance set-up: Designed and implemented an organisational structure for a new first-line product governance team for the wealth division of an investment bank, supporting personnel recruitment. Enhanced ASIC breach reporting process, designed and delivered handbook for first-line risk around product governance, risk/compliance responsibilities and processes. Closed out outstanding issues and actions assigned to business representatives. Produce and present weekly reporting on product risk and remediation. Triaged customer complaints and incidents for escalation.
  • Regulatory transformation change programme:  Senior project manager for liquidity reporting projects in the treasury function of an investment bank. Established and led complex project deliverables. Actively recruited and managed ~10 core project delivery team members across a geographically dispersed team. Hosted workshops, steering committees, and other project-related meetings.
  • Risk and compliance professionals training: Refreshed a major bank's risk management policy and standards, of which there were material changes to the types of controls, value chain risk and control identification and review process. First-line and second-line risk representatives globally gathered in Australia for a one-day facilitated training where breakout groups rotated across various booths for interactive sessions. Feedback was very positive as there was high awareness of policy changes and implications to each business.
  • Internal audit of enterprise risk framework: Led audit of enterprise risk artefacts, including RMF, RMS, and RAS, for a major Australasian non-bank lender. Also independently assessed enterprise risk coverage and controls testing. Findings presented and discussed with C-suite and board members.
