This website ("Site") is owned and operated by Protiviti Inc., of 2884 Sand Hill Road, Suite 200, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, United States, hosted on our secure website servers in Pleasanton, CA, USA. Each company in the Protiviti group is a data controller for the purposes of data privacy legislation ( "we," “us” “our” or "Protiviti"). This privacy policy ("Policy") describes the basis on which any personally identifiable information that we may collect about you through this Site will be processed by us. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and we will process your information fairly and lawfully.

The Personal Information we collect about you

When you register to use our Site or subscribe to our services for example searching for information or apply for a job, you may give us your name, contact information (address, email, phone number), job title, and your company's name, industry sector and location (country, state and zip code). Depending on the nature of your inquiry or activities on the Site, we may also obtain information about your professional interests through white papers or newsletters you request, as well as professional interests that you describe to us. Collectively this data is referred to as your “Personal Information”. We use your Personal Information for the purposes of performing the services requested and functionalities offered by the Site. By using our Site, requesting our services and / or applying for a job you agree that we may process your Personal Information for the purposes described.

Where we store your Personal Information

Your Personal Information will be transferred to and securely stored in the US. If you access this Site from a location outside the US, you agree that we have the right to transfer store and process your Personal Information in the US. All countries in the European Union (EU) and the UK, have similar standards of legal protection for your Personal Information. We are part of an international group of companies operating globally. You agree that we may disclose your Personal Information to others within our group and to selected third parties within and outside the US who may use or process your Personal Information for the purposes described in this Policy, in the following circumstances:

  4. If you are a resident of a member state of the EU or the UK, the data protection laws outside the EU and UK may not provide for an equivalent level of protection to those in your home country. However, before transferring your Personal Information we will take all such steps as are reasonably necessary to ensure that such recipients are made aware of this Privacy Policy, and preserve the confidentiality and security of your Personal Information using the same level of protection as required under applicable data protection laws within the EU and UK.

Job Applicants

When you click on the Career section of our Site and you click “Search Jobs” you are redirected from our Site to our HR management portal ‘Workday’. If you apply for a job, the recruitment process will be managed by us using Workday. We may ask you for additional categories of Personal Information including your job search criteria and preferences, employment experience, educational history, skills, salary, expectations, background and other information contained in your resume, and any login ID and password created by you. Information you provide including emails, letters and during telephone calls and conversations may be held by us and processed for the purposes described in this Policy and your potential employment relationship including:

(a) processing and updating your Personal Information through the use of our HR online systems, learning platforms, performance management, payroll and pensions systems;

(b) business planning, reporting and forecasting;

(c) safety and security issues;

(d) responding to your enquiries and complaints; and

(e) to fulfil legal and statutory obligations.

If you provide us with information about third parties such as contact details for personal and professional referees, you must obtain their permission in advance and we will assume that the third party has given you permission and for us to collect, process and to transfer their details for the purposes we have described. As part of our recruitment process we will ask candidates to provide a full employment and academic history. This information provides us with an explanation of a candidate’s past work experience, including details of any gaps or periods of unemployment and academic background, and may be used to obtain references. We may ask you to provide original, documentation in paper format, including proof of identity, evidence of immigration status and qualifications and we may verify some or all of the information you provide in relation to your application for a job. We may ask you to consent to a criminal convictions background check and or a credit reference check, where this is a requirement for the job. We may use a third party to perform background screening and verification services and we will inform you at the time.

We will not retain your Personal Information for longer than is necessary for processing your job application, or for legal or regulatory requirements. Additional requirements and policies will apply if we enter into an employment relationship with you and more details will be provided at that time.


You can visit our Site without identifying who you are or revealing any information about yourself. However, our Site uses cookies to store small amounts of information on your computer, which allows certain information from your web browser to be collected. How Long we will retain your Personal Information

We will keep your Personal Information for the legally prescribed retention period. Those retention periods can differ according to the purpose for which your Personal Information was collected. If no retention period isprescribed by law, your Personal Information will be retained as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Once the retention period expires, your Personal Information will be deleted. Personal Information used for the purpose of sending you marketing emails will be retained until you ask us to stop. You have the right of access to your Personal Information.
