David Taylor

David is a Managing Director based in Protiviti’s Orlando office. He has more than 20 years of experience in information security and IT Audit. He is a former federal agent and Computer Crime Investigator (CCI) for NASA’s Inspector General and for the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). As a CCI, David investigated computer intrusions and other violations of law relating to computer and communications systems.

David leads the Florida IT Consulting and IT Audit practices. He has assessed Information Technology related controls, reviewed security programmes and responded to security incidents at companies throughout the United States, including several financial institutions, technology manufacturers and hospitality organisations, among others. He has spoken on information security topics for a variety of audiences and organisations including the MIS Training Institute, ISACA, Legal Tech, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants and InfraGard, among others. David is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). He is also a contributing author to Defend I.T. published by Addison-Wesley.
