We may share such Personal Information with our member firm Protiviti India Member Private Limited (“Protiviti India”) to enable Protiviti India to perform business operations, client engagement, marketing, recruitment, analytics, and other legitimate business purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

For the avoidance of doubt, Protiviti India shall have the same rights to use, process, retain, and disclose Personal Information as Protiviti Inc., to the extent necessary for lawful business and operational purposes, and in accordance with applicable data protection laws in India.

This Site is hosted in the United States but is intended for users in India and may be accessed by users from other jurisdictions. Protiviti Inc. shall act as independent data fiduciaries/controller for Personal Information and is responsible for ensuring compliance with the data protection obligations applicable to it. Protiviti Inc. shall comply with the data privacy laws of India and other relevant jurisdictions when collecting or transferring Personal Information to Protiviti India. Likewise, Protiviti India shall comply with the data privacy laws of India and any other applicable jurisdiction when using or otherwise processing such Personal Information.

By using our Site, clicking a checkbox, or providing Personal Information to us, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Policy.

The Personal Information We Collect About You

Registering; Downloading Documents; Contacting Us:

When you choose to register with us (including when you register for an event on the Site), download documents, or use a “contact us” function, we may collect certain Personal Information required for this purpose. For such activities we collect the following categories of Personal Information from you or from our service providers:

• Identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, country, industry, company name, and role/title when you register with us or use tools available through the Site.
• Professional information if you download certain whitepapers, reports, or newsletters, in which case you will need to provide your company name, job title, professional areas of interest, your industry, and the types of newsletters to which you wish to subscribe.
• Identifiers such as your first and last name, email address, and your country if you utilize the Preference Center to let us know your areas of interest, your industry, or the types of whitepapers or newsletters you subscribe to.

Job Applicants:

When you apply for a job with us, we collect the following categories of Personal Information from you:

• Identifiers, such as your name, email and mailing address, phone number, and any login ID / email address and password created by you.
• Professional or employment-related information and education information, such as your job search criteria and preferences, your availability to work, your employment experience, current job title, educational history, your skills, reference information, background check information, pay / compensation expectations, ability to work in India, whether you now or in the future require sponsorship to continue work authorization, languages spoken, and other information contained in your resume. If we run a background check on you, we may also collect some of this information from our background check provider although we would first obtain your written consent before proceeding with a check.
• Internet activity, such as your browsing activity on the Site, IP address, cookies, and geolocation data.
• Characteristics of protected classifications under applicable law when you apply for a job with us such as gender (optional), ethnicity (optional), and whether you are a veteran (optional).

Information we Collect Automatically:

When you visit or use the Site, we may obtain Personal Information automatically from you or your browsing activities on the Site. For such activities, we collect the following categories of Personal Information from you:

• Internet activity, such as your browsing activity on the Site, IP address, cookies, links you click on the Site, referring URL, and geolocation data.

For business and commercial purposes, Protiviti may disclose the following categories of Personal Information to assist Protiviti with a variety of business and commercial functions:

• Internet or other electronic activity information such as network activity information, browsing history on the Site, search history on the Site, and your interaction with an advertisement.

Children

For Indian residents, we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children below the age of 18 years, in line with Indian data protection requirements. If we become aware that we have received or collected Personal Information about a child under 18 years old who is an Indian resident, we will delete that Personal Information as soon as possible.

External links and Third-Party Data Collection

This Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy practices of any third parties, including any third party operating any site or service to which the Site links.

Security of Personal Information

We use organizational, technical, and administrative measures designed to protect Personal Information within our organization. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system is 100% secure.
