Professional Background
Jim Pajakowski is the Executive Vice President, Global Risk and Advisory Services and a member of the Executive Team and Executive Council. He has more than 25 years of professional services experience working with both public and private companies in manufacturing, public utilities, professional services and other industries.
 
Jim is one of the founding members of Protiviti. He was an original member of the firm’s Operating Committee that was responsible for establishing Protiviti’s vision and strategy, defining its operating policies and procedures and overseeing all financial and administrative matters of the business. He was formerly the head of Andersen’s Risk Consulting Practice for Chicago, and he served on the Risk Consulting global leadership team.
 
Jim’s responsibility at Protiviti include the following:
  1. Oversees the global operations of the following Protiviti service areas: finance and accounting excellence; technology effectiveness and control; cost and working capital optimization; litigation, restructuring, and investigative services; and risk and compliance
  2. Responsible for the development, execution and maintenance of the firm’s overall consulting methodology as well as the training and development program for all practice personnel
  3. Serves as a client relationship lead for a number of the major client relationships and frequently serves in a quality assurance role on major engagements
  4. Oversees the development of thought leadership, market surveys and the development of intellectual property supporting the consulting practice
  5. Also, responsible for the development, maintenance and sales of all proprietary software. Also leads the effort to forge alliance relationships with key software providers
Major Projects
  1. Led several enterprise risk management projects for companies looking to better identify, measure and manage the comprehensive risks they face. He has also helped companies implement more effective risk management processes
  2. Consulted with clients on a variety of issues including process evaluation and improvement in areas such as warranty claims management, procurement, inventory management, cost accounting, pricing, financial reporting, shared service center transition and mergers and acquisitions
