Racial Equity Partnerships
These groups have a strong focus on racial equity and a partnership relationship with one or more of Protiviti’s ENGs. The partnerships are truly a win-win. They result in increased volunteer participation for the organization and help build leadership skills for Protiviti employees, while furthering the important work toward the goal of racial equity in our communities.

We have a long standing relationship with NUL’s President and CEO, Marc Morial, who currently servers on Robert Half’s board of directors (2016-present) and previously served on Protiviti’s independent advisory board (2009-2016).  Through this relationship, we began our partnership with NUL in 2020.

One key focus area for our partnership is on community involvement and volunteerism. NUL supports many programs designed to address social inequality and racial injustice. We are also exploring workforce development opportunities, such as offering technical skills training to people who have been unemployed for an extended period of time.

In 2021 we attended the national convention where our team grew in their professional and personal development while learning from and networking with activists, small business owners and professionals from around the country.

We began our partnership with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) in 2020. One key focus area for our partnership is on workforce development. We reach technical entry level and hire experienced candidates who are students or professional members of NSBE through participation in career fairs at regional and national conferences, as well as posting our internal and client job openings on NSBE’s Career Center website.

In 2021 we attended the national convention and activity participated in the NSBE Student Fall Regional Conferences by hosting resume review workshops, elevator pitch competitions, hackathons and supported the career fairs. We also have an internal NSBE Champion Network that is active in connecting with local NSBE chapters across all NSBE regions.

Protiviti has had a long-standing relationship with NABA, attending both national and student conferences throughout our regions, and many employees are members of local NABA professional chapters. Protiviti also provides scholarships to NABA students to further assist with educational excellence.

In 2021 we hosted an internal Fireside Chat with Herschel Frierson, NABA Chair of the Board of Directors, attended the national convention and hosted two NABA webinars — for the Women of NABA Network on “Empowering One Another as We Rise” and for Spectrum Live on “Pretend You Don’t Know: Incorporating a Beginner’s Mindset”. We also have an internal NABA Champion Network that is active in connecting with local NABA chapters across all regions.

Protiviti has partnered with Ascend since 2016. Many Protiviti employees have attended Ascend meetings and have joined local chapters. Through these memberships, employees can attend Ascend events and have access to Ascend resources and leadership positions on local Ascend boards.

In 2021 we attended the national convention where we hosted a speaking session on “Workforce 2025: Transforming and Adapting to Drive Change” and participated in the Ascend Executive Network (AEN) Talks, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officers (CDEIO) Forum a part of the #AscendTogether Series: Elevating Asian & Black Relations in America and the #AscendTogether ERG Forum: Resilient ERGs Leading the Way - Navigating the Pandemic & Combating Anti-Asian Hate. We also have three local chapter sponsorships where we have board members serving on panels and coordinating local events.

Protiviti’s Asian Employee Network Group, Asian Social Professional Innovative and Resourceful Employees (ASPIRE), has been particularly active with Ascend and will continue to build local and national collaborations.
Ascend Pan-Asian Leaders
Protiviti has partnered with ALPFA since 2015. During this period, Protiviti has sponsored employees to attend ALPFA’s annual conventions and provided the opportunity for employees to join the local chapter membership program with access to year-round events/resources. Protiviti’s Latin Hispanic Employee Network Group (LHENG) plans to continue building the relationship with ALPFA through local and national collaborations to further develop our Latin Hispanic leaders at Protiviti and pay it forward in the community.

In 2021 we hosted a student workshop “Managing Debt and Building Credit”, attended the national convention and hosted an internal panel with the ALPFA CEO Damian Rivera to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! We also sponsor three local chapters where we have three board members working to support ALPFA on the local level.
