Terry is a Managing Director at Protiviti’s Security and Privacy Services, with responsibility for Protiviti Global Managed Services and over 25 years of experience in senior leadership and advisory roles relating to cybersecurity, transformative digital solutions, business strategy services and mitigating business risks.
Terry advises and consults with senior business leaders and board members, providing guidance for transforming their cyber security governance and operations to effectively manage persistent & sophisticated cyber threats and provide cyber resiliency strategies to protect critical business functions and data. By adopting a cyber secure business agenda, companies remain lean and agile and accelerate market growth when embracing emerging technologies.
Prior to joining Protiviti, Terry was a principal at EY where he served on the global risk board, led the Americas IT Cybersecurity and Risk Assurance practices, led the cybersecurity growth acceleration program, and launched the global managed security services practice. Before that, he served as CEO and Chair of Mycroft, a global cybersecurity services company. Earlier in his career, Terry served in senior leadership roles including Vice President at Capgemini, Equity Partner at EY, and began his career as a system engineer and client executive at IBM.
Terry routinely presents and discusses cybersecurity at major corporate board meetings and has recently lectured at University of Texas at Austin, Georgetown University MBA Programs and many other venues interested in cyber protection and private equity investments including: Wells Fargo Client Round Tables, Bloomberg Business Week, CNBC, The New York Times, Forbes, Reuters and Linked-In Blogs.
