Consulting magazine honors Rothenstein in Leadership category
MENLO PARK, Calif. – October 23, 2013 – Consulting magazine has named Protiviti’s Barbara Rothenstein, senior vice president of global finance and field operations, to its 2013 Women Leaders in Consulting list. Twelve women who work for consulting firms globally were selected from more than 400 nominations to be recognized by the publication.
Since the 2002 inception of Protiviti (www.protiviti.com), a global consulting firm, Rothenstein has led a dedicated team of finance and operations professionals that has helped to grow the firm substantially; streamline business processes; and re-engineer real estate operations in more than 40 markets, which resulted in significant cost savings.
“Barbara is among the most respected leaders in our firm,” said Protiviti president and CEO Joseph Tarantino. “Her business acumen, ability to solve complex problems and commitment to mentorship are unmatched.”
Based in New York, Rothenstein balances leading the global finance function, field operations and business processes with serving on Protiviti’s Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee and its green/sustainability team. Additionally, she volunteers with Girls Inc. of Westchester County. Girls Inc. National is a nearly 150-year-old nonprofit organization inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold.
“As the publication of the profession, Consulting is honored to recognize these 12 women leaders of the profession and the firms they represent,” said Joe Kornik, publisher and editor-in-chief of Consulting. “This is our seventh year recognizing the Women Leaders in Consulting winners, and the quality of the nominations and the accomplishments of the winners get more impressive each year.”
The publication will salute the women named to the 2013 list at its annual Women Leaders in Consulting awards dinner on November 7 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The honorees will also be profiled in the December 2013 edition of the magazine.
