With the implementation of GDPR and the mounting concerns around noncompliance, as well as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) on the horizon for 2020, understanding the implications for your organization is imperative.
During this session, presenters Jeff Sanchez, Protiviti Managing Director, and Joel Wuesthoff, Robert Half Legal Consulting Solutions Managing Director, will review what security challenges organizations are facing in 2019 and their approach to combating these threats. We will also take time to discuss privacy after GDPR, and how states, such as California, are creating their own privacy laws. We will close this session with an exploration of how other countries outside the EU are also creating privacy laws, similar to GDPR.

- Outline the similarities and differences between the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) the previously implemented GDPR regulation in the EU.
- Identify the requisite parts of the (CCPA) for their organization and how it will impact their privacy and security teams.
- Develop a strategic review process for implementing and/or evaluating service provides to implement the needed steps to adhere to the CCPA regulation.
