Anthony is a Managing Director in the Atlanta office of Protiviti. He has more than 25 years of business experience working with a variety of organizations to enhance their business performance through risk management, operational effectiveness and enhanced governance.
Anthony is one of the original members of the Protiviti Atlanta office. In his role, Anthony leads the Atlanta Internal Audit and Financial Assurance practice. This role covers a wide range of risk assurance services including traditional internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and information technology assurance. Anthony works to integrate a wide range of service lines in serving the assurance needs of Protiviti clients locally, nationally, and internationally.
Anthony is a frequent speaker on a range of internal audit topics including data analytics, continuous control monitoring, privacy, and big data. He has served clients in various industries with a specialization in Life Sciences, Industrial Products, and Healthcare. He has assisted clients on a variety of strategic needs including IPO readiness, fraud investigations, due diligence, post-acquisition integration, SOX readiness, external audit, and various regulatory compliance including HIPAA.
Anthony is active in the professional community and is currently on the board of governors for the Atlanta Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Anthony is a frequent attendee to various board meetings including regular participation on several audit committee meetings.
Anthony has led several co-source and outsourced internal audit engagements. On the full outsourced engagements, Anthony has served as the Chief Audit Executive, reporting directly to the Audit Committee chair. In the co-sourcing engagements, Anthony has partnered with the Chief Audit Executive in developing and executing an annual internal audit plan.
Anthony has led several HIPAA engagements for a variety of healthcare clients. Several of these engagements have served as the basis for creating a risk aware compliance organization with the capabilities to assess and report on compliance with the HIPAA regulatory requirements.
Anthony has led a number of revenue assurance projects resulting in quantification of several million in annual opportunity. In one situation, a client was facing SEC scrutiny due to their revenue recognition process. Anthony and his team were able to create new model that was both defensible with the SEC and provided the client greater insight into future revenue opportunities.
Anthony has been involved in many large scale data analytic projects. In one example, Anthony led a team in creating a risk score card for 70+ locations throughout the U.S. The scorecard was developed out of a multiple terabyte data base and ultimately provided the client with a clear and concise risk picture of their remote locations.
