A Compliance View of Cyber Risk and Cyber Resilience

A Compliance View of Cyber Risk and Cyber Resilience

You're Invited to a Breakfast Seminar!

There can be little doubt that cyber risk has become one of today’s key challenges and affects all aspects of life.

Cyber risk and resilience is a key regulatory priority for the Bank of England, the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”), which has included cyber resilience in its 2017/18 business plan as a cross-sector priority.

What are the FCA’s expectations of the regulated community on cyber resilience? How should risk and compliance professionals be responding to a topic that has traditionally been the remit of Information Security? What are the issues for senior management and the Board to be aware of and what leadership and direction is expected of them? How should cyber risk be incorporated into governance and control frameworks? In what ways can the second line disciplines cooperate in order to enhance the management of cyber risk?

Protiviti is delighted that Simon Onyons, Principal Cyber Specialist at Financial Conduct Authority will be setting out the FCA’s expectations and key messages at our seminar. They will be joined by practitioner compliance professionals and by our regulatory and cyber risk professionals.

Buffet breakfast will be served.

An in-depth session that will cover:

  • The FCA priorities and key messages relating to cyber resilience and the management of related conduct risks
  • Good practice in the management of cyber risk, developing a cyber risk framework and setting of a cyber strategy
  • The roles of second line Compliance and Risk functions in managing cyber risk
  • How cyber risk arises and affects operations and reputation across financial services
