Social Responsibility

At Protiviti, we strive to complement the diverse solutions we bring to the marketplace with high performing professionals from a variety of backgrounds. At the same time, we create an environment that is inclusive, collaborative, and even family like. We are a team based organisation, and it is essential to our business and to our success that everyone feels that they are included in the team, that their ideas and contributions will be considered in our problem solving work, and that they are fully empowered.

We believe embracing diversity and inclusion are the right and responsible things to do, and we also know they are vital to our success. Broadening our capabilities by tapping into diverse backgrounds and experiences is how we can best serve our clients. As a global organisation, we need a global team of professionals, each bringing unique perspectives to bear for our clients.

Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

Our Diversity and Inclusion initiatives are designed to attract, develop, and retain the most talented professionals in the market regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation or any other dimension of diversity. Each of us has a different experience to contribute to our company and to our clients. It is the breadth of these experiences, and how they all work together, that makes us succeed.

Our Diversity & Inclusion Steering Committee provides strategic direction and support to our employees in their grass roots efforts. The steering committee is comprised of Managing Directors from around the globe as well as key leaders in HR. The steering committee is gender balanced and includes representatives from a variety of ethnic backgrounds, reflecting the blend of our broader workforce.

Our Diversity Champions Network is a diverse spectrum of individuals from different offices, bringing together employees from across solutions and career levels to design and implement diversity programming. Serving as change agents, these individuals connect people on a local level to the bigger strategy through events, educational programming, and Employee Network Groups.

Employee Network Groups

Employee Network Groups are local, grass roots groups that organise both in-person and online to focus on promoting diversity initiatives within the company. While the activities in these groups are driven by employees, they are supported by leadership and provide our employees an “Opportunity to Have an Impact” as promised in our People Promises.

  • iGROWW – The Initiative for Growth and Retention of Women at Work is a network of women AND men to promote awareness of women’s issues, develop and foster meaningful and mentoring relationships and share information to support the business success of women at Protiviti. We are committed to empowering women to achieve success on their own terms. We strive to provide opportunities for women to connect with and support each other. We deliver programs that contribute to their personal and professional development, and act as enablers to support them to fulfil their needs at the right time in the right way.
  • proPride UK – Protiviti UK’s LGBT+ and ally network which seeks to improve our business, people and communities by promoting diversity and inclusion in all our activities and dealings with colleagues, clients and others.
  • ProCulture UK - ProCulture is committed to driving change through creating a workplace that reflect the communities we serve and where everyone feels empowered to bring their full, authentic selves to work and employees of all cultures, races, nationalities, and ethnicities feel accepted and valued. We are passionate about diversity and equality for all and celebrating the cultures of our diverse workforce.
  • iMatter UK - iMatter is committed to creating a culture of openness with regards to mental well-being, we ultimately aim to increase the confidence of all Protiviti employees in managing their own mental health; enabling them to cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, and feel able to make a contribution to their community.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Group – The CSR committee exists to provide opportunities for employees to give back to the community and to the causes that mean the most to them; to provide the channels through which Protiviti London’s staff can demonstrate their integrity to our clients; and to facilitate team-building and relationship-developing exercises and events through the medium of charitable volunteering and giving.

Inclusivity Across the Generations

We have found through our employee surveys that our people sometimes struggle with generational differences on their teams. To better equip our people, we rolled out multi-generational training in 2013. We hired an external generational expert to work with us to create cultural awareness of generational attitudes and beliefs and show how those can play out in the workplace and now this training is now part of our Challenge and Business Development schools’ courses.
