Brian Foster is the General Manager of Internal Audit at Microsoft. He has been with Microsoft nearly 20 years in a variety of roles. In addition to Internal Audit, he has served as the Controller for several of Microsoft’s business units, including Office, Windows, Cloud & Enterprise, Devices, and Gaming. He also serves on the Global Professional Development Committee for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and the Internal Audit Advisory Board at Seattle University.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Brian was a Divisional Controller and Corporate Accounting Manager at a leading entertainment and educational software company, following a number of years at Deloitte serving clients in a variety of industries, including technology, retail, manufacturing, food and consumer products, and health care. Brian graduated cum laude from the University of Washington, is a CIA and CPA, and was a William H. Smith Certificate of Excellence Award winner for a top 5 CIA Exam score in 2006.
As General Manager of Microsoft's Global Finance Operations, Grace leads a global team of 200+ full-time members and 1500+ outsourced providers, responsible for a broad scope of financial processes including procured to pay, accounting services, financial reporting, global payroll, manufacturing accounting, royalties and content operations and statutory and tax compliance reporting. Grace is a champion in driving process simplification, standardisation, digital transformation and customer experience design initiatives, using industry leading technologies in robotics process automation, chatbots, blockchain and cognitive services built on Microsoft Azure. Grace brings diverse teams together across organisational and cultural boundaries.
Prior to her current role, Grace held a number of positions in financial planning and analysis, financial controllership, commercial deal and acquisition support. Grace has extensive experience in the tech industry, having worked in Corporate, Enterprise and Consumer business functions. Her passion is to create an environment where people can do their best work while growing, learning and contributing.
