"Being selected for this distinguished list signifies that one has achieved the highest level of excellence in his or her profession," said NACD President and CEO Peter Gleason. "We salute the commitment it takes to uphold these high standards and to serve as an example to other corporate governance leaders.”
Nominees are solicited from NACD's constituents, including the NACD board of directors, previous honourees, NACD chapter leaders, advisors, and the general membership. The slate of nominees is presented to an independent committee that makes the final selections. The NACD board of directors then ratifies the committee’s selections.
The 2018 honourees will be celebrated at the annual NACD Directorship 100 Gala on November 28, 2018 in New York City and featured in the November/December 2018 edition of NACD Directorship magazine.
