Professional Experience
Gregory Hedges is a founding Managing Director of Protiviti and leads the firm’s Social Business consulting practice. He is a certified Community Strategist, Community Manager, and Community Specialist, skilled at developing and deploying Social strategies while assisting CEOs and other senior leaders to use social business to engage - not manage - their customers. He strategizes with executives on ways social technologies might improve their business operations and, is adept at developing and deploying social strategies in an environment of even regulated online conversations. He has led social business engagements across a number of industries including insurance, banking, energy, fast casual dining, life sciences and travel/tourism.
 
Representative Engagements Include
  1. Built customer engagement models in many industries to assist CEOs in evaluating value propositions delivered in mobile, social and online communities, comparing them with those same customer experiences delivered in the offline world
  2. Testified before Congress on risks related to protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to provide the House Subcommittee on Technology and Innovation guidance on process and technology risks in a variety of business models
  3. Led several overall evaluations of the alignment of organizations’ approaches to strategy and risk mitigation associated with their use of Social Media, sharing best practices within deploying governing and managing social media
  4. Led research and benchmarking efforts of organizations’ social media initiatives with competitors and identified improvement opportunities, best practices and recommendations
  5. Led advisory and consulting services to help client understand best practices and approaches for global social media assessments
  6. Led development of our knowledgebase of 320 Social Businesses with several social business implementations each, all searchable by industry, by process to provide clients instant insights to fuel ideas for strategies to consider

  8. Counseled CIOs on GRC strategies, remediation design, external audit coordination, and the move to improve IT governance processes
